I love the Shanty 2 Chic blog. They have great ideas and are the inspiration for some of my most recent projects and my new love for spray paint. They had people post links for some of their Spray Paint Projects...WOW. I have alot more ideas and projects to add to my list.

I {love} my NEW (used) Lamp

It still needs a finial, but I love it. it's amazing what a can of spray paint can do. Next project...the shelf it's on. Picture it black and maybe with fabric mod podged on the top of it. I am loving all these crafty decorating blogs. So many ideas not enough time (or money) to make everything I want.

Boxed Berry Wreaths

Sweetpea over at Brown Paper Packages made this to hang on her wall. I love it! She used a box frame her husband made for her, then she had some wreaths made for her. Since I have a whole red/black thing going on in my living room I decided I wanted one of these on my wall too.

Here is mine. I found a frame at DI I sprayed black and today I finally found berry wreaths for it. Mine is hung on the wall just as you come in my front door. I might need to respray the frame..I just bought some flat black spray yesterday for my lamp. This frame is a little too glossy.

Thrift Store Shoppers Anonymous

I am developing a problem. I went to the DI again yesterday. These are my new finds. That lamp is wood and I all ready painted it black and bought a shade...a few more touches and it will be done. The step stool is for the girls bathroom...picture is painted white with some fabric mod podged on it. And the Shamrock will be painted and I will add some vinyl for St Patty's day.

I am working on the bench I bought...it's looking great!

RIP

My sander died yesterday while I was trying to work on a project. :-( Don't worry I bought another one last night while I was at the store.

Then on Monday I finally had time to add this

Next, I need to add a couple sheets of drywall and a door or else my girls are going to be playing in the food room. Dacia was such a big helper tonight moving over food. She was just as excited as I was. One of the biggest wants in our new house was that it had to have a food storage room. I am so happy to finally have my shelves up and be able to fill them. It makes me feel good to be able to work on our one year supply and know that if anything every happened we will be prepared. I still have more to get, but I have a good start.

Now I have to organize this. I finally get my craft room!

Refinishing Furniture

I found a cute piece at DI today, butI have no idea what to do with it. I know I need to repaint it and recover the cushion on it...but it's going to take me a while to figure out the colors on it...wish me luck. Any ideas appreciated.

Something Old into Something New

I have a skirt that I bought a long time ago, probably before I was even married. It has never fit right. It was way too long and I did not like wearing it. But I kept it thinking it would be an easy fix...well years later I finally did it.

I finally cut it off and hemmed it up and I have a cute new skirt to go with my boots.

I'm glad I finally did it. I bought the boots a couple weeks ago to go with my black skirt and the next day I went to get dressed for church and the zipper in my black skirt broke, so now I need to replace a zipper.
